Pop Art
Pop Art turned the imagery of advertising, celebrity, packaging, comics, and mass media into the material of high art. Rather than separating serious culture from popular culture, it explored how desire, glamour, repetition, and consumerism shape everyday life. Its surfaces can feel bright, cool, and playful, but the movement often carries a sharper edge as well, asking what happens when identity and meaning are produced through images that can be endlessly reproduced.
